Congratulations on making it to the end of our August challenge!
The goal this week is to celebrate your progress. Every step along the way to achieve your goal matters, and this week is the moment to celebrate and reflect. Is this a goal you want to continue into September and the fall? Or do you want to tweak it to continue to challenge yourself?
My goal was to train for the Santa Barbara Triathlon and it is this weekend on Saturday! I am looking forward to the culmination of my training and celebrating my success (hopefully!). See more details below- I would love to see some of you there if this interests you!

Free Summer Cinema- Hairspray
When: August 28, 8:30 PM
Where: 1100 Anacapa St.
Spend Friday night under the stars at the free Summer Cinema at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. This year’s film series, “Mixtapes & Misfits,” celebrates the unforgettable characters, underdogs, dreamers, and rule-breakers who make movies memorable, paired with soundtracks that are just as iconic as the stories themselves. Join fellow film lovers for a summer of crowd-pleasing favorites in one of Santa Barbara’s most beautiful outdoor settings.

About the film:
Bursting with infectious songs, dazzling dance numbers and feel-good energy, Hairspray follows teenager Tracy Turnblad as she dances her way onto “The Corny Collins Show” and helps challenge segregation in 1960s Baltimore.
Please respect the lawn and your fellow filmgoers: only bring blankets that are permeable (no plastic/nylon/tarps), and chairs that are low-backed and low to the ground. Setup is permitted starting at noon on the day of the screening.
Santa Barbara Triathlon

Established in 1981, the Santa Barbara Triathlon is one of the longest-running triathlons in the world. Its stunning scenery and ocean-front transition area and finish line ensure an amazing athlete and spectator experience.
Take in the view of the Channel Islands off the coast of Santa Barbara as you toe the water’s edge of the Pacific Ocean at the 2026 Santa Barbara Triathlon. Experience the beautiful backdrop of the Santa Ynez mountains as you cycle the fast and challenging bike course before ending the race with a beachfront run. After crossing the finish line, music and refreshments will be available.
