Weekly Newsletter – 7/8/2026

Can you believe we are already halfway through 2026?

Now is a great time to re-visit the goals or vision board that you set up at the beginning of this year. Are you on track or do you need to recalibrate?

Take some time this week to celebrate your progress or set more realistic goals if you are recalibrating.

Most of us on the Demboski & Chapman team had reading related goals for this year! If you are interested in getting a book recommendation please reach out and we would love to share with you what we are reading!

Cheers,

Catherine Tro, Director of First Impressions

Fermentation and Preserving Cooking Class

Large outdoor concert in a park by the beach, with a dense crowd seated on chairs and blankets around a central stage or performance area.

When: July 9, 6:00 – 8:30pm

Where: Apples to Zucchini Cooking School

21 E Constance Avenue
Santa Barbara, CA

In this class, we’ll transform peak-season produce into flavorful, shelf-stable ferments that can be enjoyed for months to come; as well as explore the digestion and gut health benefits of lactofermentation. You’ll learn the fundamentals of safely processing and preserving produce at home, and make several varieties of kraut (with some jars to take home). We’ll also prepare and share Choucroute Garnie (“dressed sauerkraut”), a hearty and comforting dish from the Alsace region of France, because no cooking class is complete without a delicious meal!

Please respect the lawn and your fellow filmgoers: only bring blankets that are permeable (no plastic/nylon/tarps), and chairs that are low-backed and low to the ground. Setup is permitted starting at noon on the day of the screening.
